So this parameter is ignored at best. Dell seems to get all the crappy updates or something. I burn these discs 16X.

How satisfied are you with this response? But I think the should be 16x. I burned that one at 8x to tast safe but with my 8x Verbatim DLs that say in the fine print up to 10x compatible it would let me select up to 12x I think, or maybe it was 10x.
Have you tried latest D firmware published on ? Not even close to the same quality burns. However with the firmware as is, it is working perfectly. Nero discspeed reports the discs were burned in the SH-SB even though I have the B firmware possibly a side effect of the codeguys app?
